The Aquarius Superclusters II. Spectroscopic and Photometric Data

چکیده
We present spectroscopic and photometric data for 920 galaxies selected in 68 fields of the Aquarius Cluster Catalog. Typically the 15 brightest candidate members with magnitudes in the range 16 < bJ < 21 were selected for observations, and ∼ 71% turn out to be cluster members. Using the new redshift determinations we assign galaxies to groups and clusters, and by including data from the literature we calculate systemic velocities and velocity dispersions for 74 clusters, each with redshifts measured for at least 6 individual galaxies. Spectro-photometric and Weak Lensing Survey of a Supercluster and Typical Field Region – I. Spectroscopic Redshift Measurements
We present results from a spectroscopic study of ∼4000 galaxies in a ∼ 6.2 deg field in the direction of the Aquarius supercluster and a smaller typical field region in Cetus, down to R < 19.5. Galaxy redshifts were measured using the Two Degree Field system on the Anglo-Australian Telescope, and form part of our wider efforts to conduct a spectro-photometric and weak gravitational lensing stud...
متن کاملThe Aquarius Superclusters I. Identification of Clusters and Superclusters
We study the distribution of galaxies and galaxy clusters in a 10 × 6 field in the Aquarius region. In addition to 63 clusters in the literature, we have found 39 new candidate clusters using a matched-filter technique and a counts-in-cells analysis. From redshift measurements of galaxies in the direction of these cluster candidates, we present new mean redshifts for 31 previously unobserved cl...
متن کاملHS 1804 + 6753 : a new eclipsing CV above the period gap ?
We present spectroscopic and photometric observations of the cataclysmic variable HS 1804 + 6753, a new eclipsing dwarf nova of the UGem class. Its apparent visual brightness in quiescence is Mv ≈ 14. During its frequent outbursts the brightness increases by 1 − 2.3. From our photometric data, we determined the orbital period to be P = 0.2099370 ± 0.0000001. The spectroscopic observations show ...

UBV photometric observations of Ap star Cyg V1584 have been presented. To find the rotational period of the star, a sinusoidal wave function has been fitted to the noramal points of UBV filters. Assuming that a circular hot spot located at the magnetic pole of the star is responsible for the observed light variations, both physical an geometrical parameters of the spot have been determined. F...
متن کاملDiscovery of the spectroscopic binary nature of the classical Cepheids FN Aql and V1344 Aql
We present the analysis of photometric and spectroscopic data of two classical Cepheids, FN Aquilae and V1344 Aquilae. Based on the joint treatment of the new and earlier radial velocity data, both Galactic Cepheids have been found to be a member in a spectroscopic binary system. To match the phases of the earlier radial velocity data correctly with the new ones, we also determined the temporal...
